Rental terms

1. Event price

One event price = one event day (including the night until 06:00), with no time limit. Pickup the day before and return after the event are included – you have the system for up to three calendar days (up to four after Saturday events with a Monday-morning return) but pay for one event day.

2. Pickup & return

Pickup & return at Zentralstrasse 47A, 8003 Zürich: pickup the day before Mon–Fri 17:00–19:30 or Saturday 09:30–10:30. Return after Saturday events on Sunday 17:00–19:00 or Monday 08:00–10:00, after Friday events on Saturday 10:00–12:00, after Mon–Thu events the next day by 10:00. Other times: appointment CHF 40.–.

3. Several days

2 event days ×1.5 · 3 days ×2 · 4 days ×2.5 · 5–7 days ×3 · 2 weeks ×5 · 3 weeks ×6 · in between and longer on request. An extra calendar day without an event: +20 %. The factors apply to equipment and packages; delivery, full service, crew and engineer are charged once per job or per hour.

4. Weekday price

events Monday to Thursday −20 % on equipment – for private individuals, students and clubs or associations (not on public holidays or their eves, not for System 4 or complete packages with full service, not combinable with multi-day factors). Peak days: New Year's Eve ×1.5 (pickup 30 Dec, return 2 Jan), Street Parade Saturday and 1 August +25 % on equipment.

5. Reservation & payment

30 % advance payment (min. CHF 100.–, at most the order total) within 5 days of the booking confirmation – only then is your date firmly reserved. Balance by 14 days before pickup or delivery; for bookings less than 14 days ahead, 100 % at once. Payment by QR bill or TWINT. Companies, schools, authorities and associations: invoice, 20 days net after the event (first orders above CHF 1'000.–: 30 % upfront).

6. ID & security deposit

At every pickup you show a valid official photo ID (18+); the name must match the booking. We take a photo of the ID and delete it no later than 30 days after the return. For private self-pickup you leave a security deposit: CHF 200.– for rentals under CHF 300.–, CHF 400.– from CHF 300.– (TWINT or cash). You get it back within 2 working days of the return check. No security deposit with delivery or full service, for companies, schools and associations paying by invoice, and for regulars from their second rental. Renters without Swiss residence always leave a security deposit of CHF 1'000.–.

7. Cancellation

free until 14 days before the rental starts (the advance payment is refunded). 13–7 days before 50 %, 6–2 days 80 %, under 48 hours or no-show 100 % of the order. One free rebooking up to 7 days before, to a date within 12 months (subject to availability). New Year's Eve: 50 % advance payment, non-refundable from 30 days before. If one of our devices fails, you get an equivalent replacement or a 100 % refund.

8. Liability

From handover or delivery until return or pickup you are liable for loss, theft and damage – for partial damage the repair cost, for a total loss the replacement value (reference values in the terms). Check whether your personal liability insurance covers rented items. Zürich Sound's liability is limited to the rental price, except for intent or gross negligence.

9. Care & rules

Outdoors only under a roof or tent. No drinks on the gear, no extra speakers daisy-chained, no sub-renting. Fog only with the venue's permission (the renter pays for any false alarms). Permits, quiet hours and noise rules (V-NISSG) are the renter's responsibility; with System 4 and with an engineer we set the levels ourselves.

10. Return & cleaning

clean, dry, cables loosely coiled; 30 minutes' grace. Up to 2 hours late CHF 50.–, after that +50 % of the event price for each day or part of a day. Cleaning of drink, confetti, glitter, tape or fog-fluid residue CHF 50.– flat per system (bigger jobs CHF 60.– / h). Missing small parts: XLR or speakON cable CHF 30.–, mains cable CHF 15.–, adapter CHF 15.–, stand CHF 90.–, mic clip CHF 15.–, wireless footswitch CHF 60.–.

11. Prices

All prices are final prices in CHF. Zürich Sound is not VAT-registered – nothing is added. Minimum order CHF 80.–.

12. Delivery zones

• Zone 1: City of Zürich – Delivery CHF 170.–, with setup CHF 290.–
• Zone 2: up to approx. 20 km, e.g. Schlieren, Dietikon, Dübendorf, Wallisellen, Kloten, Regensdorf, Adliswil, Thalwil, Küsnacht, Meilen – Delivery CHF 220.–, with setup CHF 340.–
• Zone 3: up to approx. 45 km, e.g. Winterthur, Baden, Zug, Uster, Wetzikon, Bülach, Wädenswil, Rapperswil-Jona, Höfe (Wollerau, Freienbach, Pfäffikon SZ) – Delivery CHF 330.–, with setup CHF 450.–
• Zone 4: up to approx. 80 km: Glarnerland, Linth area, March, Lucerne, Aarau, Frauenfeld, Schaffhausen; further on request – Delivery CHF 460.–, with setup CHF 580.–
