    Live sound & FOH

    An engineer at the desk for bands, DJs and speakers. PA, console, mics and soundcheck – we mix, you play.

    Stage monitoring

    Wedges or in-ear, up to six monitor mixes. So the band hears what it plays.

    Concerts & open-airs

    Planning, rigging and tuning of larger systems – our own gear up to approx. 500 people indoors and 300 outdoors, beyond that with partners.

    Lighting & stage

    Basic lighting from our own stock; bigger light shows, stages and power with local partners – one contact for everything.

    Permanent installations

    Tuning & optimisation

    Your system doesn't sound the way it should? We measure, set DSP, limiters and delays and get out what's in it – often without new gear.

    Room acoustics measurement

    Reverb, boom, poor speech intelligibility: we measure the room before anyone buys, and tell you what really helps – technology or acoustics. With a short report.

Good to know.

How quickly will I hear back?

Requests before 18:00 get an answer the same day – usually faster on WhatsApp.

Can I pick up the equipment myself?

Yes, free of charge: at Zentralstrasse 47A in Zurich, the day before between 17:00 and 19:30 (Saturdays 09:30–10:30). You bring it back after the event.

What if something goes wrong at the event?

On the event evening you can reach us by phone and WhatsApp for free. If needed we come by – if a device is faulty, it costs you nothing.

Is there a deposit?

Only if you pick up yourself: CHF 200.– for rentals under CHF 300.–, otherwise CHF 400.– (TWINT or cash). You get it back within 2 working days. With delivery there's no deposit.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancel for free up to 14 days before the rental starts. After that: 13–7 days before 50 %, 6–2 days 80 %, under 48 hours 100 %. You can rebook once for free up to 7 days before.

Does it work outdoors?

Yes – under a roof or tent. We recommend the right setup for your venue and tell you what power you need.

Do you help with volume and neighbours?

Permits and quiet hours are the renter's responsibility. We're happy to advise on speaker placement and levels, so it sounds great and stays stress-free.

Are there any extra costs?

No. All prices are final prices in CHF – Zürich Sound is not VAT-registered. One event price covers a whole event day including the night.

Do you work with our existing gear?

Yes. We tune your system, add subs, monitors or DSP where needed and set up presets – you don't buy new gear unless it's necessary.

How early should we ask?

Events: ideally 2–4 weeks ahead, often possible at short notice. Installations: 2–4 weeks for planning and gear.

How does payment work?

Companies, schools, authorities and clubs pay by invoice, 20 days net after the event. First orders over CHF 1'000.–: 30 % deposit. All prices are final – Zürich Sound is not VAT-registered.

Do you come outside Zurich?

Yes: the Zurich area to the Glarus region is our turf, further on request.

What do you need from us on site?

Power (how many sockets, 16 A or CEE), access and parking, a schedule, a contact person – and for bands the stage plan or rider.

How big can the event be?

With our own gear up to approx. 500 people indoors and 300 outdoors. Bigger with partners.

Who is responsible for the gear?

During the event, our engineer. For dry hire our rental terms apply.

Do you do dry hire for other engineers?

Yes. Racks, consoles, monitors and speakers come with or without presets – tell us what you're planning.

We're a young team from Zurich with a passion for great sound. We measure instead of guessing, work with pro gear from Kling & Freitag, CODA Audio and Midas and take care of every event personally – from garden parties to open-airs.
